Well this is sh*tty. I thought they were only a problem here in the States. Besides being road nuisances they absolutely tear up the trails here and regular ebikes get the blame. The other day I read a Facebook post about how they tore up a pump track and it needed repairing.
I'm a trail volunteer at two of our county parks; Calero and Almaden Quicksilver which was once the largest mercury mine. Today I had to work on some trail junction signs at Quicksilver. Really nice day. Overcast and 65°F instead of the usual summer blazing sun and 100°F. 👍.

A dry and dusty day at the county park, and all these lush pictures from England, Scotland and across Europe are making me jealous. We're still a month away from any rain here in San Jose, California.
If that wasn't a responder, are the trail marked No Hikers at the trail heads?
What model do you have and did the bike feel like it was 50lbs as you went down?
Yeah, I have a 2019 Altitude Powerplay C90 and where I live in San Jose, California and the nearest Rocky dealer that services them is in Santa Cruz about 45 miles away. To me the fact that you have to take it in and pay to do firmware updates is the biggest pain in the butt.
Went up to Calero County park and rode 17 miles after I took out the inserts and put on new lighter tires and in my mind it really made a difference. Bike feels a bit snappier.
What do your screens look like? Can you select anything else like engineering mode or ebike info etc? Are you signed in?
This what mine looks like connected
Then when I click on the double gears in the upper right corner.
Nothing is greyed out.
Is there any parts available on Ebay? I wonder if there was a change up at tech support too. I emailed them about what was the current firmware version 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. The last time I contacted them I got a reply in 2-3 days.
That's to bad. You can try emailing RM tech support. It usually takes a few days for them to respond but the good thing is that they will give a reply of substance and not some one liner of "have you tried turning it off and on again?"
Edit: How fast are you going when it cuts out? In the US...
Here you go. It's easier to watch it being done than me trying to write it down. Only takes a couple of seconds to do. I'd do it in the garage or someplace with shade to make it easier to see the LEDs change color.
I don't know how they would, but have you pulled the cover off and checked all your connections are tight? Same with the iwoc, maybe you snagged it on something.
Have you tried recalibrating the torque sensor?
I don't know about hot swapping batteries but you can buy the 314wh Overtime Pack which is an eternal piggyback battery. The bike will run off the OT first then use the main battery. It's on sale now too. I bought the V1 for my 2019 and it's been great.
