I can't agree with that. maybe because i weight only '73 kg'. but riding my Sentinel (15-16kg?) and Levo (23kg?) is VERY different. and i'm not talking about only turns but also braking etc.
Exactly...
and for these reasons, i don't enjoy few black trails (still gravity orientated) I have in my area (on my Levo that weights ~22.5kg) ...
they are slow and technical/trickery (considered as blacks for some reason :) ) trails, on an analog bike - it'd be a difficult challange, difficult...
depends how you ride and what are you looking for.
Suspension travel, geo etc. could be more important than just one wheel size.
That Whyte E180 RSX - looks like it weights 26kg !
Doesn't matter wheel sizes, the weight will be the biggest factor here
(comparing to other ebikes ~23kg)
definitely tire inserts (even something light like tireinvader, hucknorris, nukeproof ard), I didn't have any dent in 4y now.
and i run around 1.7-1.8 bar at the back
If it's holding, looks ok, other option is to add extra piece of yellow tape on a side.
In the future you can think about new rim, maybe stronger? (DH,ebike specific) depends on your riding finesse :)
you replace the rim (+labour) , if the spokes are not very fatigued (less than a year?) you could reuse it, if the rim is the same (or has the same ERD).
you can try to unbend it a bit (or workshop), but not too much, coz aluminium will crack.
What is turbo? just max. power with least effort? :)
I set up my bike according to my day, if I have only 2-3h, I set assistance to 50-70% and peak power to 100%.
If I have a full day, I set assistance lower, like 30-35% and peak power around 35% as well, to do >2500m elevation.
ahh....sorry...
Is it completely windproof ?
like Endura singletrack softshell ? SingleTrack Softshell II - Azure Blue
it's very thin and light, but blocks wind completetly.
i'm not sure, who would (manufacturer or shop) change bottom bracket under warranty if there is a play after one year of use ...
anyway, great that they change whole motor
I don't know how motors are handled. and I don't know exactly what warranty covers.
with most (all?) other things, if, for example, bearing dies (after some reasonable time, like 6-12 months), it won't be covered by warranty as it's normal wear and tear, right?
I don't know how it works with...
but in a 'normal' bike, it's normal wear and tear, right? bearings and other stuff, and you just replace that part (not under warranty), right? so how is it with motors ?
But this is only a press.
depends on a bearing, you can remove it in different ways
blind bearing puller
or
using, for example RRP cups RRP Bearing Press Tool | Westbrook Cycles
