Transition Relay Owners how's the bike?

How much do you weigh and what spring weight did you end up on?

    My Relay rocks

I don't hear any clicking from the motor free hub personally. Flip your bike over, remove your chain, turn the motor on and spin the cranks by hand so that we can hear that noise in isolation. Also try just spinning the cranks and letting go with the motor off to see how freely your cranks...

    My Relay rocks

I have a new motor and the new style handlebar controller on the way to my dealer. Haven't been able to ride it much because of surgery keeping me off but even with repressive heat, I'm jonesing! Probably going to order the EXT Aria shock for it.

Canyon after-sales making me consider switching

Canyon & YT consistently shaft their customers. Quit buying these things people!

    My Relay rocks

I'm in TX. Our temps with the heat index have been around 115'. On the other hand from October to May it's mostly around 60-80' and perfect riding weather. So that's the main riding season! I rode the Ex-E a bit but it wasn't a proper ride. Can you detail the difference you are experiencing...

    My Relay rocks

Yah, I've watched Nerds on Dirt's U-tube videos and even the new ones, I can detect no strange motor noises. Truthfully that clicking sounds like something stuck in the derailleur or a bad rear freehub, not motor noise. Would have liked if in the first videos by 'Nerds' if we could have gotten...

    My Relay rocks

I'm quite enjoying my Relay and it is a sweet mid power e-bike. The battery juice is over the top for me and I struggle to use more than about 35% in these temps. If it was cooler (typically 115'+ heat index here currently) and I could do more miles, this result would be different I presume...

    Pole Voima 190mm Travel EMTB

What do the Pole frames weigh typically? Guess what I'm asking is what is the weight penalty for the Machined Al frame vs. like a Wild? Really liking Leo's ethos and geo choices. I wish for a lighter version of his frames, but then he wouldn't be able to crank out a new configuration every...

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

I'm a bit jealous of those that live in real mountains. For those of us that are mountain bike fit and want to maintain but don't have real mountains, a mid-power e-bike makes more sense and is just a more enjoyable bike riding experience. My Weight Weenie-ism has not abated since jumping on...

    My Relay rocks

For my purposes, it's still the one I would have bought. Great geo, the right motor power and battery size. The only other contender for me was the new Levo SL but the geo was pretty far off of my tastes and the battery really is quite a bit smaller.

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

I love the idea of course, however most EV's have the generators or whatever at the wheel end and they add weight, complexity, and frankly a less than ideal 'brake' feel. I think for a cargo bike application, this could be right around the corner. But for what we do, a decade or more away.

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

Love the weight analysis. However, that Simplon with the new Pinion seems awfully heavy for some reason. Anyways, I'm certain that integrated transmissions are the future of e-bikes as it only makes sense. I have a 1 month old e-bike, but don't see myself buying another unless it contained...

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

Kind of funny that a full electric motor and transmission cost less than an Eagle Transmission groupset.

    Pole S-Onni (Sonni)

I think you were sort of done dirty. That said, ride your bike for 1 year and reassess cause here is the thing, this stuff is advancing so quickly you'll probably be able to get the Sonni with the Revonte by next year. I'm loving what Pole has coming out these days (although I literally only...

    My Relay rocks

What I primarily like, and it's helping my descents (I think) is 2 things: 1) lots of front wheel traction, 2) hta that just doesn't get hung up on anything. What is screwing me up is mostly how heavy and long the front end is. I use to just jerk the front end up and drop it 2' over to make...

Are my coworkers genetic freaks or is Peloton power off?

Nothing can match the dense and effective training that you can obtain on an exercise bike with a HR monitor. Plus you don't have to go anywhere. Do 5-7 hours per week in Z2 (5 zone model) for 8-12 weeks with appropriate recovery and nutrition and you'll think you put a motor on your normal...

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

I enjoyed reading the review. She's a little chunky for my tastes and needs however. That's a 56# medium with no pedals, inserts or heavy tires. 60#s+ how I'd want that bike personally. I'd still choose the HP version of the Rapcon. I did try to buy one but they currently won't sell to the US.

Bosch needs to offer a plain engine cover for more subtlety.

    My Relay rocks

Unless you are a pretty big sender (6'+ to flat drops on the regular, 15' + jumps with no landings, etc), I'm going to recommend removing all of the volume spacers from the rear Float X air shock on the Relay. I've generally needed to add lots of volume reducers and have been a big fan of the...

Levo SL Gen 1 Levo SL 2023 Megathread

As Sam Wilk said, the larger rear tire and CS adjustment won't make your Levo SL any larger in the cockpit. I would say that the 29er slows down how quickly the bike reacts and turns making it feel larger on the trail (based on other bikes I've made this change with). The true fix is a...
