Only going downhill and about 50 miles. Heard it loading my truck up today as well, but not really on the ride this time. Will keep an ear out and see if it comes back.
Interesting project, but even the build at 32 lbs is somewhat impractical. Fasttrak would die in about 30 seconds and 2 piston brakes would be smoked after 1 run. Bike would be amazing at 34-35 lbs though with real tires and brakes.
BTW, his planned changes from a geo perspective won't work...
Did another ride today on the SL/G2 after tuning the motor which changed my views somewhat. Ride was 19.5 miles/3.1K of elevation. I finished with 41% battery remaining.
I swapped my settings to Eco 30/35, Trail 50/80 and Turbo 80/100. Did 99% of the ride today in Eco and it felt much more...
First ride done on the SL. Will break my feedback into two parts, motor/software and bike.
So the motor, not sure if mine was setup how it ships from the factory or someone had messed with it before I rode it. Settings were 35/35 Eco 75/80 Trail and 100/80 in Turbo. Spent the entire ride in...
I got an S4.
Regarding the frame only vs the complete, understand you get the RE but I would rather have a full bike of spares for the small increase in cost relative to the frame only. I am a hoarder though and have a ridiculous amount of spares. Personally not super stoked on the dark...
What is the frameset only cost? Haven't seen the option here in the US yet.
I did pickup a new SL Comp today. Still have my Fuel EXe as well so will spend some time riding them back to back before I sell the EXe.
Congrats on getting your extender!
My ride on Sunday was much better from a battery perspective. I am fairly strong pedaling so I think if I run Eco most of the time and then Trail/Turbo when necessary I would be fine with just the internal. My ride on Friday was with a friend on a Turbo Levo...
Gen 2 S4 ETT 631/Reach 470
Gen 2 S5 ETT 659/Reach 495
Gen 1 LG ETT 628/Reach 455
Gen 1 XL ETT 664/Reach 481
You can see how the Reach and Effective Top Tube interact based on the changes in geo new vs old
I ran mine dead last week. Total ride was 30 miles and 3300' and I pedaled the last 7 miles/500' home with no assist. Ride was 85% Trail/3% Turbo/12% Eco. Bike shut off at 5% remaining. I am super frustrated that the range extenders aren't available yet and may swap for a Levo SL even though...
I am lurking on the new SL right now and would love to hear more comparisons to the Fuel EXe which I have right now. Literally just got the Trek dialed in on my last ride, but I am very frustrated by the lack of range extender availability. I did a ride on the Trek Friday that was 29.9/3.3K...
I was the one that found the issue with 5Dev. The stock chain guide is very wide and clips the back of the cranks unfortunately. 5Dev cranks have a standard Q factor while the E13's are crazy wide which is why those clear the guide.
I have been riding mine on very aggressive terrain and...
Made a few setup changes and got my first ride in yesterday. Installed 160 5Dev cranks, 5Dev Ti stem, WA1 Union wheels (had these in my garage from another build) and headed out.
First off my bike came with the new Charger 3 damper in the fork instead of the Charger 2.1 that shows on the spec...
Bought an EXe today and the shop will hopefully have it built tomorrow. Looking forward to trying out a lightweight eBike since I have had several Levos and a Kenevo as well. A little concerned with the range if the extenders are not available, but will see how it goes. Biggest complaint with...
