I ride 160mm cranks on all my emtbs and have seen a lot less pedal strikes then I did with the 165/170 stock cranks. Ethirteen and 5Dev make cranks for various emtb motors. Some people have had issues with E13's on Shimano motors, but I've had absolutely none. Followed the revised torque procedure.
Has anyone had any experience using a Wolftooth aftermarket chainring in lieu of the OEM chainring that came stock on your emtb? I am installing the new SRAM AXS XO1 Eagle Transmission on my YT Decoy and cannot obtain the factory SRAM model that fits Shimano motors until June/July. Thinking of...
Have a 2023 Wild on order and decided to go with the SRAM AXS Transmission set-up which I purchased separately since Orbea does not offer this option yet. Has anyone installed a coil shock on the 2023 model? Have Push ELEVENSIX's on my other emtbs but unfortunately they don't offer a Wild...
I think whenever possible it's always best to go with OEM parts. At the time I switched to 160mm cranks, Shimano cranks were impossible to get. Have a pair waiting to be installed when I need to change out the E13's.
I have the E8000 motor and believe the cranks are the same for both. You will need a little spacer (E8000 CONVERTER in the schematic) for the E8000 motor. Check out a company called 5Dev. They are making some awesome but pricy after market cranks for emtbs...
Been running the E13 cranks on my YT Decoy for more than a year with absolutely no issues. After aforementioned field issues, E13 released a revised torque down procedure that seems to have addressed the issue. As a normal precaution, I always perform periodically bike checks to ensure various...
I am very happy with the performance of the Push ELEVENSIX. Definitely noticed the benefits on dh aspects and the unexpectedly surprise has been the improved feel and performance when climbing. Not necessarily a downside, but it does feel less "poppy" and think coils take away the natural feel...
Spoke with my guy at lbs and he verified it does work on current Gen AXS droppers. Not sure if new Gen controller is compatible with current Matchmaker clamp. May require new Gen discreet clamp.
I'm of the opinion that one can never have enough shoes and have tried many different brands/models and here are the 5 in my rotation as of now:
-New Fox Union Flats (so far after a few rides VERY impressed).
-Specialized 2FO Roost
-Ride Concepts Tallac Boa
-Ride Concepts Powerline...
Was hoping to get out today to try out the EXT and see how the Kenevo performs. Unfortunately the rain gods reared their ugly heads which rarely happens here in San Diego. Was able to pop off a couple small jumps next to my house so I can establish a baseline for the shock/Fork settings...
Just installed a EST E-STORIA on my Spesh Kenevo and noticed the squishing sound straight away. Used the stiffer spring and it still persist. Sounds like I'm walking in wet sneakers. Seems this is "normal " and nothing to be concerned about. EST even has a statement about the noise on the...
Absolutely incredible products but management is poor. Everytime I've contacted them, employees working there have been fantastic. 540wh battery is so 5 years ago and YT is definitely missing out on a lot of potential sales. Guess they just don't give a f#ck!
The battery itself is freaking...
Finally received the Push ELEVENSIX for my Yeti. As with my YT Decoy, comes with the required hardware and set up by Push at the factory based upon information required when ordering. Super easy to install and looks amazing! Will share ride characteristics after a get some decent miles on...
Like others have stated, size is important while also being subjective. I prefer a smaller size frame for my enduro/all mountain rig and like a little larger frame for my trail bike. I'm 6ft even and have an S4 frame size on my dh sled (Kenevo FF Expert) and it fits like a glove. Being Captain...
