Then I really don't understand the problem with pedalling a bit harder. Most of us in here are the wrong side of 50 years old and the wrong side of 25 on the BMI scale, so there's a degree of laziness and a desire to keep up with the fit lads on the ride outs, so sometimes I can understand the...
I wish! Then I wouldn't have fallen off. I'm more of a disciple of the @Zimmerframe Crash & Burn School.
First time wasn't really my fault, there was a wire pulled across the track (I think by a forgetful farmer, rather than malicious). The second time was a deep rut on a 40% gradient (I...
Then your cheapest way to ride faster is to ride more to get fitter. Plenty of YouTube vids on how to fitten up on an EMTB so you can really crank out those mph.
The other solution is to buy a cheap, secondhand motorbike. That'll go a lot faster on the roads than any mountain bike...
Probably a market segment for someone to make adapters between Gen 2 and Gen 4 motors. (Isn't Gen 3 the large cog commuter ebike motor rather than the EMTB motor? I get totally confused with the numbers, so I'm not that person).
However, given the need for new wiring looms etc., you have to...
Well you won't need to carry the chain gauge - it'll be too late for that. No point in carrying the pliers. I assume that you'll be using a speed link for the repair. Those pliers are not suitable for installing a speedlink.
Apart from the chain breaker, all you need to carry with you is a...
I'll see you and raise you: I have two stands because it's impossible to hang a tandem in just one... :ROFLMAO:
You'll find the reason for having a strap or cable tie to hand one day when you are out in the woods and get something stuck in between your chain and chain ring. Of course, you can...
And so just what is wrong in using a velcro strap to fasten the crank arm to the chain ring spider? A hell of a lot easier than trying to tip the bike upside down without scratching anything, surely?
I was originally going to upgrade but have decided that the both the Kiox and the Nyon are too exposed and vulnerable. I've already smashed a Garmin Edge 1000 a couple of times and now ride with it in my backpack/pocket when I'm on tricky terrain. I don't see that being possible with either the...
He's just put up a message to say that he'll be riding to work by bike again tomorrow morning. He's obviously busting for a fight!
(I'll let you know if there's a opening for a new doctor in our local hospital if it all goes terribly wrong).
Oddly enough, there's another thread just popped up where the following link to the Kiox upgrade kit was linked.
Accessories and retrofitting products for eBikes with Bosch drives
But assuming you want to stay with messy oil... someone will come along and tell you to put an alan key into one of the bolts on the front chain ring which will then block against the crank arm and allow you to turn the chain ring backwards. HOWEVER, as I discovered, don't try this on a Bosch...
With nothing other than rumour about when we'll even be allowed out in the street, let alone on our bikes again.
In theory, you can ride a bike to work following government clarification given last week. However, one of the lad's in the village tried that on Friday morning only to be stopped...
I can't find it now, but on the Bosch Ebike site about 2 months ago there was a link for the retrofit holder/mount which needs to be added so that you can use Kiox. It was being marketed as part of their Smartphone Hub package because this uses the Kiox mount, so it is definitely in existence.
You might try dropping a line to Riese & Müller. They are a German company which is very active in the American market, so I think they may well have the setup you are looking for.
[Edit: Just checked their specs. Their FS EMTB's go to 140kg. It's their FS Cargo bikes which go to 200kg. At a...
I'm just quoting the manufacturer's guidelines to you. It's up to you whether you want to do your own thing - but it will be harder to argue with Shimano that their products are not giving you good mileage if you don't follow their recommendations. Extract for the M7100 derailleur:
If you've worn out your cassette then you must change your chain as well - and I would always change the front chain ring at the same time.
Using a worn chain on a new cassette will kill it in double quick time. Using a new chain on a worn chain ring will kill the chain and the cassette in...
