Cheers buddy, I’ll get in touch with TF and see for sure if the glide ring is included, I can always keep the seal head and footnut as spares for just in case they wear out or get damaged in the future, thanks for all your advice mate, that’s what I love about this forum, always someone who has...
I’m watching the first video now and I’ll watch this one next, I’m not trying to be a tight git but do you need to change the seal head and foot nut, I fitted a Debonair upgrade for the air side in 2021, if they have to be changed then I’ll change them, I also can’t see the glide ring in any of...
Many thanks for your reply mate, much appreciated, thanks for the link to TF Tuned and the video as well, the syringe that was used in the video, is that the same one that’s used in the bleeding process on Sram bleeding edge brakes, aside from that I can’t see any other thing I haven’t got aside...
Thanks for your reply mate but I’ll have to see how the Velcro straps hold up because that’s the other reason I bought this mudguard, alongside the little extension part that goes down to the main pivot, I thought it’d be easy to remove for washing my bike, if they don’t live up to expectations...
Right back at the beginning of 2020 when I bought my Whyte e150rs, I decided to upgrade my fork internals but I’ve also made it more difficult (for me) to know what service kit to buy, I fitted a charger damper RC2.1 and the upgrade air damper with the larger seal head in either late 2020 or...
Are there alternative straps you can recommend please mate, apart from the little extra part that covers the main pivot, that’s the other reason I bought this mudguard as it’s easy to remove for washing my bike
Post man Pat just delivered this, my old Mudhugger isn’t very good at keeping the mud from my main pivot area and this one fastens with Velcro straps making it easy to remove for washing, I just hope it doesn’t rattle around, I’m testing it out tomorrow with a ride in the Peak District, woohoo 😁
Today I’ve been working on my bike and for the life of me I still can’t find where that dang rattle is coming from, I’ve whipped out my battery four times now and fixed some neoprene tape in places that looks like it might be coming into contact with the downtube but as soon as I push the bloody...
Very enjoyable post and interesting too, I have a Timber bell and mostly I like it, my biggest regret was buying the quick release one with the ‘O’ ring, it’s rubbish and just spun round on my bars no matter how tight I fitted it, I tried many different ‘O’ rings but it made no difference, I...
For anyone that lives in an area with high rainfall or just numerous streams or rivers, if you don’t like a bladder on your back or can’t fit a water bottle in your frame, just carry a good quality water filter like a Katadyn befree, that way you don’t suffer from the weight penalty of the...
First of all guys, thanks for your replies and please forgive me for not replying until now, when I didn’t reply a reply first time around I forgot about this post, anyway, Mike, thanks for your reply mate, you’ve certainly given me plenty of things to check out, from memory, the last time I...
I wear my trusty Endura knee protectors with D30 inserts which go quite low down my shins and over my socks, in the warmer months there’s going to be a trade off between protection and sweaty legs, personally I’m going down the sweaty legs route, I hate gorse bushes, brambles and stinging...
Has anyone ever had this with their Whyte, while out on my last ride I was getting a loud rattle, I checked the frame pivots and bearings which are all new and all is fine with them as too are the headset bearings which are also new, I’ve not been able to check the battery yet as I’ve been ill...
I’ve just got back from my workshop after reading your post and after removing the mech and flushing it or more specifically the spring with some GT85 I was amazed how much grit came from under the spring, I am shocked because it’s not long ago I took it off and gave it a good clean like I...
