Little hack. Bought an SQ Labs saddle and it has about 6mm shorter height from rail to saddle top than the Ergon I had on it previously. I was able to take 10mm of spacers out of my One Up seatpost and use the full 210mm of travel. I am right at the limit on a large frame at my height though.
You need the widest lower shock bushing you can fit which is 40mm (stock was 39.88 on my Fox) and torque it up to at least 17nm. The frame bracket is really stiff and you need to clamp the shock bushing or it can rattle.
Yep Trek is selling them without any batteries now. You just have to order one and hope they come in at some point. Don't forget to order the strap, cable, screws and end caps!
Extreme sarcasm above.
One of the more odd riding experiences in my very long career on Sunday. Went to the local bike park to do some laps. We had a very wet winter in Southern Cal and there is no shortage of food running around the now very thick brush. I am riding up a steep single track with poison oak...
This kit, oddly, seems to have cured my issues. Requires less clamping force at the lower mount. 8 x 40 version. (stock is 8 x 39.8)

I removed two sets of 2.5 spacers on mine (L) to go to 65mm travel. I had the shock out of the bike though. Takes a few minutes. One thing to confirm is that you will most likely need shorter screws. With 2.5mm you may be okay. No other mods to lubricants needed.
Had a few bucks in my PP account so I popped for an I9 headset today. Nice little sale going on right now. Got a tall (15mm) top cap version to color match my hubs. Kind of disgusted with my vanity today. I'll get over it and report my findings when it comes in.
This whole thread is based of a guy who does not own one and did a single test ride? The low power clutch flutter is not a defect. Sounds like trolling to me.
I was constantly beating my crankarms on the rocks on my Decoy. Once you ride them loose the splines are toast. I ended up putting on a new set and all my creaking went away. I am pretty careful about not letting them get loose. The E13's my EXe have been great from the jump.
Recent round table on Pinkbike with the tire makers and the #1 issue going forward was the ETRO standard. I have I9 305 rims and the Maxxis tires mounted by hand. Beads seated with a low volume floor pump.
Really starting to put some miles on after an epic winter and a bunch or trail damage. I have been defending the stock Bonty tires until I replaced them with a 2.5 DHF with the sticky rubber and a 2.4 DHR. I had forgotten how good the Maxxis stuff is especially with right pressure. Its been...
