I would actually consider 12 speed to be a bad thing than a good thing. More likely to go wrong and much harder to fix when it does.
I got a Turbo Levo Comp 2020 and the suspension is Worlds better than my analogue trail bikes which cost thousands.
What a hassle trying to avoid storing the battery at 100% FFS
Tried it for a while then eventually thought "sod this" "too much hassle ontop of all the other bike hassle" "not convientant"
Does anyone know how to resolve the issue of creaking cranks ?
It's definetely coming from the cranks rather than the motor as the creaking is associated with pedalling rather than motor power output
Is the 4 warranty on these bikes just the motor or will this cover the battery as well ?
I'd hate to have to spend £1100 on a new 700 wH battery if it fails just after 2 years!
I think there those who go through a lot of motors who get them replaced as soon as they sound a bit rough then there's those who's motors last a lot longer because they only replace them when they fail ?
I got the Turbo Levo which I'm now wondering if I should have got the SL instead because so many places in north west England have high stiles, fences and locked gates to lift over and it's only getting worse. The weight of the bike makes this task very ardous and difficult. Sometimes more...
My first motor didn't last long at all until it started to sound unhealthy. Probably 1500km. But it didn't fail until it had done around 4,500km though! The second motor started sounding unhealthy around 1,000 to 1,500km again but I didn't wait for it to fail this time, got it replaced by bike...
I have gone through 3 to 4 bent rotors now since I have had my Turbo Levo 2020. The rate of failure is increasing. Are E Bike specific rotors actually required ? I've been replacing them with regular ones
There's even a bloody stile to lift over, you don't expect that on a book's routes. A bit closer than Gisburn and riding somewhere different not knowning whats coming next always makes a ride better even if it is mostly rubbish.
I have got that route and did it once
It's in the South Pennines book
It has so much road on that route and lots of uninspiring boggy bridleways. I ended up going off-route and up on one of the (easier) footpaths to Summit just to make the ride better! Back down to the reservoir and joined...
