Yes around 80% of travel on my local trail centre red and blacks I've done my initial testing on. I will mess with compression and check for any bottoming out when I ride some larger drops and jumps next weekend at the Golfie / Glentress.
Possibly yes but I was under the impression it was best to start from fully open for compression but happy to be corrected and learn more
Edit - this video from around 5 mins recommends starting with Lsc and HSC fully open
Just an update on my new Fox 38 factory fork which if you haven't got time (or the will) to watch my first 25 min ride video with it below these are the settings that seemed to work for me on my 2019 Kenevo so far...
~ 100kg total riding weight
114psi
Hsr - 6
Lsr - 3
Hsc - fully open for now...
What weight are you fully kitted up? I'm around 100kg with everything inc water and I don't think my factory 38s have any tokens in as stock so was going to start with zero.
Any update on your upgrade @Evolution Stu ?
I've just bought some Factory 38s and fitted them but not got out on the bike yet due to the snow up here in the north east of England but hoping mine aren't full of grease!
I asked the retailer about a refund and they told me it was normal but apparently the tyre comes with a 2 year warranty so I'm going to use it and see how it goes. However I'm in agreement that I don't think sealant should come through the sidewalls (y)
I might contact Michelin direct if I do...
Really? I've literally never seen that before but that's what the bike shop also said
I have to say, seeing that doesn't give me much confidence that the sidewalls on these will be much good but others on her seem to rate this tyre so I guess I will give it a go (y)
Hey all
Thought I would try the Michelin e-wild front 2.6 tyre as it was on offer over Black Friday at several places for £39.99 and having set it up last night upon checking my bike this morning I've found it's dropped 20+ psi and the reason... sealant leaking from the sidewalls on both sides...
Would be really interested to know what ebikes you currently have personally @Rob Rides EMTB not those you have supplied on test and why you have kept those ones
I presume you still have the full 29" Kenevo ?
20% extra off nearly new bikes at Tredz Nearly New Bikes | Ex Demo Bikes with 0% Finance | Tredz Bikes using code 20OFFNN
One example I saw was a Merida eOne-Sixty 500 - Nearly New XL 2023 for £2,799.20 with the code and 12 months warranty
These are great and hold an ebike fine (y)
However just to note that Is a store specific reduction so might not be at all stores but my local reduced these all the way down to £8.99 last year as that store is in a poorer area and doesn't seem to get many cyclists in :sneaky:
Yes I'm aware the 29" will lift the front and from what you and others have said it should enhance things. Having the 29" 38s will also be more future proof for other bikes I might have (y)
