Oh yes, very easy. Just had to swap the actual dropper. Just undid the collar, then removed the left side grip, brake, and power control, then fed the wires into the frame as I pulled up on the dropper. Once the bottom of the dropper was free of the frame, I unhooked the cable from the bottom...
Well, it finally happened! Got my Rise!
Had to change the dropper post because the Orbea one was too high. I put in a One Up 180, but shimmed down to 160.
So far I've ridden it twice. It's so amazing!
Oh, I didn't realize you'd have to remove the chainring to install the Invisiframe kit on a Rise. I'll have to let my installer know that when I get my Rise. I already have the Invisiframe kit waiting.
I think there's a special tool to remove the chainring isn't there?
Hahah... ya, it has been a very long wait. But in the meantime I've been building a custom Santa Cruz 5010c so that's kept me busy for now. Took it out for her maiden voyage today. It's not quite done yet, but almost. Just waiting for a red Ergon seat (the blue one here will go on my Orbea Rise)...
Me too (coal blue M10). July. I asked the LBS for an updated date and he said "I think your's is coming a week earlier. But still in July."
Hopefully then more to the beginning of July than the end.
And the Fox 36 / 150mm fork on the front on the M10, is it the 2021 model? Need to know for Invisiframe. I'm guessing so, hopefully. The Orbea website doesn't specify. Just says Fox 36 Float Factory 150 Grip2 QR15x110 Kashima
Is the back-half of the coal blue Rise matte or gloss? I'm thinking front gloss, back matte. I've not yet seen one in person so I don't know what Invisiframe kit to buy.
Is that matte finish on the back part?
Looks awesome.
I wonder how matte finish would look on the glossy front too? Would love to see that combo. That Ride Wrap video wasn't very helpful. Outside lighting would have been better than studio lighting. And perhaps a coloured frame and not just...
So what's the difference between the E7000 display and the SC-EM800 other than the E7000 is plug-in-play and the other requires cables and adaptors? Is the SC-EM800 better? It seems there's also the E8000 too. Very confusing naming schemes they have. I'd like the cool one with the colour...
Maybe @Rob Rides EMTB can put in a good word for me at Orbea so they can ship one out earlier :). Still July for my blue M10 XL.
Also anything that can be displayed in the iOS app can be displayed on the Apple Watch. The iPhone would be used as a gateway between the bike and the watch. That's...
Since you bought an XL, may I ask how tall you are? I'm 6 ft. So I'm right at the end of the L recommendation and at the beginning of the XL recommendation.
This is an interesting video discussion of how to pick out the right size bike for you:
