psychosomatic: adjective, ˌsī-kō-sə-ˈma-tik
of, relating to, concerned with, or involving both mind and body
e.g., when your mind gets used to ebike assistance and you turn power down or off and your body has to work more and you assume there must be motor drag rather than just a need for...
@TQmotorguy -
@Julie_X1 has it right. I have/had a
Vado SL, Levo SL, and a Creo SL (yes, I’m a bike whore). The SL motors whine, whereas TQ motor is whisper quiet. Power is about the same, but the TQ comes on stronger earlier so it feels more torquey at lower cadences. I like that! However...
🤣 For sure, we’re wimps here in SoCal when it comes to wet weather.
A bit of fog on the coast and we whine and hibernate.
That said, it’s been a wet winter. Los Angeles has received ~30” rain in our four month rainy season Dec-March (compare that to London’s average of 23” over 12 months). Some...

This thread was supposed to be about the effects of this winter's heavy rains on trails (in California ).
EMTB is not the right forum to discuss climate change theories.
Let the kooks post their nonsense on Twitter.
This thread has drifted off the rails.
I realize that ebikes have motors,, but discussion about what are commonly referred to as “motorcycles” probably belongs in another thread if not another forum. Interesting stuff, but . . .
Another “70+ bone breaker” here, a few years older than the OP. Thankfully, a few less bones broken and most of those were in previous cars or on/off motorcycles. As for MTB here’s a lovely pic of me back around the time of my 70th birthday following an over-the-bars incident. The photo was...
