And there lies the rub. Tesla owners generally aren’t ’car guys’. For some of us a car is more than just a tool. It needs to offer something more than value for money.
For me the Tesla is poorly built and almost impossible to work on yourself. Once that batteries gone the car is disposable. My...
I got to ‘pinnacle of value bla bla bla’ and gave up.
I’ve not owned a Tesla but a dozen or so friends and family have and most have given up on them within two years. I had a go in one. Yeah it’s ’ludicrously’ fast but it’s ugly soulless and boring. Just like their owners when they bang on...
I stripped the whole bike down as I wanted to give it a full service. On the stereo the metal battery tray comes out, after you remove the lock, and then there’s another plastic tray behind that the hose goes through.
I went through the chain stay first, then through the frame but had to feed...
Put mine back in last night. Had to do it the way I explained. Ultimately there isn’t enough flex in the brake hose to get it in without dismantling half the bike!
I’m resigned to the fact I’m stuck with the acros. I need the stop as don’t have the clearance. I emailed acros the other day to ask how you replace the bearings. You can’t. They’re pressed into the cups and need to be replaced as a whole.
Others have just chipped away at the block with a dremel to give you more angle. Also, Acros do a 120° and 150° block lock. Keep meaning to check my cube and see if I’ve got the 120, then might just try the 150
in the past I have just wrapped an old chain around the cassette then wrapped the ends of the chain around the tyre. Use a towel in between and some gloves if you’re precious.
I don’t intend to use the adjustable but it’s definitely do-able. I refused to buy the park tool socket from tftuned for £8 so now, as a matter or principle, I need a cheaper solution. Found this at B&Q so will be paying a visit tomorrow
I’m a plumber. A 6” Bahco adjustable is like an extension of my arm! I’d get it off and back on no problem. Just not sure I’d torque it up enough without marking it.
If this is legit it’s an absolute steal…

There’s an action team on there for £1980 too
If it’s anything like my 22 stereo that I’ve just pulled apart, you have to pull that tray out to get the wiggle room. I haven’t put mine back together yet but I envisage me having to thread the brake line through the back of the frame, then through the plastic tray while it’s out of the bike...
