Mine are heating my fingers - I have raynauds, and they work for me. The problem is they’re not breathable at all, and end up soaking after about 20mins!
I had on my Sealskins today, and they definitely have elements in the fingers.
This is the downside to the Sealskins ‘gauntlet’ type gloves. It was ok for me today on roads, cycle paths and some dirt paths… but I wouldn’t want to be riding serious singletrack in them.
Although I can still...
I would imagine that they take all the failed 1.1 motors and repair / refurbish them when they come back from a warranty failure. They are then used for warranty replacements.
Much like Apple do with phones. Unless your phone fails within the first few weeks of launch, you’re getting a refurb...
Out for a maiden ride today on the new wheels and tyres. It was a local ride of 18 miles. About 11 miles single track and dirt track, and the other 7 miles were paths and roads. Wet, slippy and muddy.
The Cannibals handled it well - lots of slippy roots and rocks… however they drag quite a lot...
Taking a step aside from the SL 1.2 motor power (or lack of) discussion... can I just clarify something please?
You bought a KSL with the 1.1 motor a while ago (I assume). The Levo SL came out with a 1.2 motor, so you bought a Levo SL 1.2 with the sole purpose of transplanting the new motor...
I was driving to work this morning along the road, and a Deliveroo driver went past me on some naff Chinese eBike in the bus lane. I was doing about 35mph, so he must've been closer to 40mph. No pedals turning, and the only helmet in sight was the one riding the bike!
I don't have cushcore in mine or any insert at all... so a saving there.
Most of my tyres seated with a normal track pump, but in the end I needed to purchase a booster pump - so I'm assuming that's where the different track pump came from?
Getting a decent booster pump for £45 is good going...
Well summed up! It's just a shame the protagonist is banned for 24 hours, so can't reply. He's probably reading the thread getting angrier and angrier!!
I’ve pretty much done this test. I have a technical climb I can’t do on a 1.1 motor, but can do on a 1.2 motor… both on 100/100.
I don’t fly up it like I did when I had a Trek Rail… but I can make it up it.
On my SL 1.1 I would always get to the same point and get stuck. On the SL 1.2 I get...
It would be nice if they sold the motor separately, and maybe one day they will. For now, they claim there is a limited production, and the motors produced are for their complete bikes / frames. It's the same with the Mastermind TCU's... they've now been out for almost 3 years, yet bike shops...
I haven't watched the video yet... but do they test more than one SL1.2 motor? As previously mentioned, and covered in various SL threads, there seem to be some motors / users having different experiences with them. Some users are reporting a big difference between 1.1 to 1.2 when testing back...
I haven't watched the video - I'm sitting at work. I'll watch it later...
What I can say is that my 1.2 motor felt like 100/100 had no significant improvement over the 1.1 when I first got it. Sure, it was quieter, and the lower levels seemed to be more powerful... but 100/100 offered very...
Here's a pic of my old XX1 in rainbow.
To be fair, this has probably done about 2000+ miles... but the 7/8/9 cogs looked like that after a couple of rides.
Tubeless for me, and have been for over 7 years now...
My first few bikes were Specialized, and had Roval wheels and Specialized tyres. They came "tubeless ready" in that the rims were already taped, and the valves were in amongst the documentation package.
I popped some Stans in, blew them up...
