From doing a bit of talking to locals and local bike shops over the weekend alloy does seem to be the choice for emtb's which did get me thinking whether carbon was really the right choice to go down. We will work with our manufacturer to see if we can redo the alloy option we had also.I love...
Certainly alloy works out cheaper to produce. I've seen a few brands release hardtails but I always thought was pointless as like you said you have the power to just motor along anyways. I'd love to do a titanium hardtail e-bike of sorts but that will be challenge and a half and $$$ as I just...
I need some feedback. We are playing with the idea of a carbon or alloy hardtail (I'm a sucker for hardtails) mid drive with integrated battery and 150mm travel front as well. Thoughts?
Thanks mate.
At the moment it's sitting at 66 degree head angle with 74 degree seat angle and 450mm chainstays. Can accept a 150mm travel dropper post also, which comes standard on our bike. I'll have a Geo sheet in the next few days.
Cheers
***First Prototype Frame Pictures***
Hi guys, long time between drinks! First pictures of the frame are here! We are also working on a downtube protector that will cover the battery and link up with the motor skid plate to offer as much protection as possible. We have the option of running...
Thank you for your feedback.
I understand where your coming from. It was my vision from the start to do a carbon frame and given the opportunity I had to go for it. I've owned xc and dh bikes that were carbon and I've had no problems with them over the years.
Thank you for your well wishes...
Thanks mate! I'm certainly hoping it will!
I've never heard of them until now but I love their concepts of the two bikes but offering multiple setups for different purposes is a great idea in my opinion. I might have to flick him an email.
Cheers
***Afternoon update/backstory***
Long post I'm sorry
When I originally started this I wanted the bikes built from carbon and every manufacturer knocked me back or charged insane amounts of money to produce. So I was destined for alloy (as of starting this thread) as it is a lot cheaper to...

Any servicing/programming with the electrical/motor system will be done with us or a Bafang dealer but more to come on that.
First service is free also.
We are exploring the possibility of contracting a mobile service company to provide the first service on us if you are in any other part of...

Thanks mate!
With our spec list currently we are sitting well under $6000 RRP. This first model will eventually become our entry level model and we will offer an upgraded model also if everything works out. Once we have our first run built hopefully in the first quarter of 2021 we will be...
Thanks for your feedback Rusty.
We are not running 200mm travel in the rear I was just stating it is possible with the frame design. We are shooting for 150mm travel F&R.
The 205mm is eye to eye length of the rear shock and 57.5mm is the stroke length on the shaft.
Cheers
Thanks for your feedback!
I have found the biggest thing is value for money vs performance. After comparing from different manufacturers in our price bracket we are aiming for most are essentially the same spec unless they have a design change or something like that. We are contemplating...
Thanks for your feedback! I am still debating on what to run up front and the price point we are going for. In the future once we get up and going we will do this model in a higher spec version for sure.
