Ordered range extender in June , initially told end of August for delivery, now told November, ordered 2nd full size battery. Arrives on Wednesday. Looking forward to some mega rides !! The problem with range extender batteries are parts availability for the battery , TQ has prioritized main...
To be honest the podcast actually made me feel better about what’s going on there. I got the feeling they are really trying to refine the motor and the system as a whole. The webinar series for dealers is an important start. It really is an amazing system and I am completely sold on it. They’re...
Watched the podcast! Thanks. Very interesting. He does say there is a torque sensor but an in house one rather than a off the shelf one. Thanks for the info though.
I disagree with with a number of items. First off, if the rider wattage is nothing more than a “guess” you do not create a screen showing wattage in increments of 1. It’s the same as having an inaccurate fuel gauge or speedometer. Any engineer knows that when you give a number you are implying...
There is something going on with the torque sensor on this motor. The rider wattage being displayed is out between 20-30 percent. That's not good and a indication of something being amiss. I've checked versus my Garmin pedals as have multiple people on this forum. I'm waiting to see if Trek/TQ...
It would not work and for a few reasons. First off the distance between the rollers is different. As well, the new cassette is designed and built with different ramps. The new system can shift under load like a Shimano now. Mix and matching cassette and chains will not likely work and the...
I expect to cough up zero for a cassette. Check your chain for stretch often and replace when on the cusp. My cassettes last for thousands of Km’s before needing to be replaced. Checking and replacing the chain with the correct chain is the key.
Sadly I've joined the ranks of folks who's bike no longer turns on , or turns on intermittently. I can plug it in to the charger so it turns on but whether it turns on again is another question. Extremely frustrating as I got back in town from work and have 2 weeks to ride ( I ride almost...
Where is the literature that TQ admits the power meter is a "Guesstimate"? That seems rather odd. A torque sensor I would imagine would be able to give us accurate wattage if calibrated properly. I would also guess that regulators certifying the motor as class 1 would require something better...
Is the problem a hardware or a software issue? This is kinda important. If the fix is a firmware update, motor replacement should not be happening. The issue was not present when I first bought it but I've noticed this come up in the last few months. I am not really interested in running back to...
Thanks a lot. I'll give that a try. Yes I have removed the cranks but I was aware of the alignment of the cranks on the spindle (notch) and they are installed correctly. (as well as properly torqued which is another issue common with these bikes) I am going to try what you said but to be...
