I started having these same issues years ago in that same area and it has progressively gotten worse. Having tried every iteration I can think of for grip size, bar sweep, bar rise, brake lever what it came down to for me was pressure on the Median nerve from carpal tunnel.
Hope this is not...
For better or worse here in Oregon they just passed a new law updating e-bike classifications and who can use them.
"As passed by the House, it would ban e-bikes to be ridden by anyone younger than 16 without a driver’s license or permit, while anyone over 16 could ride any class of e-bike."...
Throw the Rhythm away to start with, and put on a Lyrik Select, Select+(you can find new take offs for a great price on PB) or Ultimate. They have much better small bump compliance and better mid-stroke. FYI, im about your same weight on a Carbon Comp and don't let the rubber get in the air...
Exactly....its the time left from the original retail purchaser. But, the caveat with Trek is "This does not include items such as wheels, suspension forks, drive train components, etc"
And I would bet you they would count the motor as part of the drive train.
The amount of money we spend for an e-mtb... It shouldn't ratle. That is just the manufacturer getting away with bad product development and letting us be the R&D department
Bought mine, and order extender beginning of July and they still have no idea when
Or say F it, order a full power bike and never consider Trek again...
Well that is too bad to hear. Haven't really went down the mechanical rabbit hole, but it sounds like its an inherent design in the Shimano motors themselves.
Since you have a lot of experience on different bikes from testing is it a noise that is really bothersome, or do you just get used to...
Considering a new E-MTB (2023) that would presumably have the newer EP8 motor and wondering if any actual users have noticed a change in the infamous rattle?
One of my biggest fears of owning anything with the EP8 is the rattle that you read about in ever review. Motor has great specs, is in a...
Feel the exact same way about my purchase. In all honesty I probably would NOT have purchased the bike if I had known that it wasn't available. Already had to bail out on a few rides early because battery was going to die
They (and reviewers) should really quit advertising and talking about the range extender. Still not available here in the States over a year after the bike was released....
Still waiting on mine and hopefully it's not November. Part of the appeal when I bought it was the range extender as I ride with some full size ebike friends. To not have it available by Trek is akin to a bit of bait and switch IMO
