    Other Chasing a "creak" noise

Thank you for the reply!!! Since I posted my question, I have determined that the noise IS NOT coming from the head set. I do aplogize for proving WRONG information. The noise is coming from the front SLX disc brake caliper. When apply brake, pad moves against the internal stop within the...

    Other Chasing a "creak" noise

I have three Treks; Rail 7 G2, EX 8 G5 and the current offering EX 8 G6. Absolutely love my Rail, and it has been flawless for about 150 hours now. On both my Rail 7 and EX 8 G5, I had the usual creaks and squeaks, however with a little cleaning and lubing of pivots, those were all easily...

    Rail (750Wh) 50 miles...

Thanks guys!!! I will try to answer each of your comments... - Trek Rail 7, Gen 2, 750 battery. - Bike has right at 300 miles, 482 kilometers. - It is an endurance event. which has an "e-bike class". I would enter the "non-competitive class", which does not record your lap times, it merely...

    Rail (750Wh) 50 miles...

There is an upcoming race, 50 miles, five 10 mile laps. Yesterday I pre-rode three laps, (30 miles). Started with full charge, ended with 2 dots of batt left :(. Rode in Tour, only. Seems it will be close, as to whether I can finish the event. Thoughts?

Rail (750Wh) Did the "50 hour service" on my Rail rear shock, Rockshox Deluxe Select +

Yes, Buck Creek is on my list! Not sure the emtb has reenergized my interest in riding, but I am totally shocked at the upper body workout it provides, and how much it is like dirt bike riding. Even though I may be only going 3-5 mph faster than on my pedal bike, it totally changes line...

Rail (750Wh) Did the "50 hour service" on my Rail rear shock, Rockshox Deluxe Select +

Oh my gosh, you are a wealth of knowledge!!! Just a quick reply or two for now. On shifting, I try to never load the motor too much at low RPMs. Just try to keep it in mid RPMs. It just seems, and you seem to substantiate it, that riding like that may prolong the motor life. Thanks for the...

Rail (750Wh) Did the "50 hour service" on my Rail rear shock, Rockshox Deluxe Select +

Yes sir, totally agree. The air can service is as far as I should go, on the shock. I could easily damage something beyond repair, not knowing what I am doing and all!!! I have about 275 hours on my ebike, and this is the only ebike that I have ever ridden. I must say, it is way more like...

Rail (750Wh) Did the "50 hour service" on my Rail rear shock, Rockshox Deluxe Select +

Oh gosh... I am so glad we crossed paths here. Yes rode Concho many times. Even went to the TSCEC awards banq in January (this year) there at Abilene. I was invited due to the HOF thing. Yes, hollering "Thank you" really helped I think, and just seemed to be the right thing to do. I have...

Rail (750Wh) Did the "50 hour service" on my Rail rear shock, Rockshox Deluxe Select +

Shock had been leaking oil, past the seal, from the negative pressure side. I realize that most of them do leak. Bought the rebuild kit from SRAM. It was easy peasy. Interesting that functionally it is pretty much identical to the AER air fork on my KTM's. Test rode it yesterday and it is...

Rail (750Wh) Love my Rail 7...

I absolutely love my Rail 7, Gen 2. Nothing fancy, but OMG it is so much fun. In my area (Dallas Texas), for every Rail owner, there are 10-15 Levo owners. Don't know why, as there are way more Trek dealers around here, than Specialized dealers. Any idea why? Also, I know this is hardly the...

100 hours. Gosh, no way I would run suspension components that low with out rebuilding. My Rail is at the 7 hour mark. THANKS!

Rail (625Wh) Considering a new Rail 7, Gen 2, Medium, Dark gray.

Guys, sorry I have not logged in here in a while, but I am absolutely loving my Rail!!! I greatly appreciate all of the tips here too! I have one issue that I thought I would run by you experts, before I take it back to my Trek dealer (which by the way I have a great relationship with...

Rail (625Wh) Considering a new Rail 7, Gen 2, Medium, Dark gray.

Gosh guys, my first ride was a hoot. Rode 5 miles on a trail that I know well. I just rode in 2-TOUR, never even tried E-Bike or Turbo. Noticed that riding in the rocks seems to work better just pedaling lightly. If pedal too hard, it applies more power than desired. Same going into a...

OK guys... Thanks for answering all of my questions. Thanks for the advice, pics, vids and encouragement too!!! Picked up my new Rail yesterday. I just got all of the pressures, sags, lever positioning, batt charged, etc., good enuf for the maiden ride. About to take it for a quick spin...
