I think Buying a slash + is a poor choice for anybody. Especially the builds at the high prices they are .Honestly if it had a 65 or 70nm Motor without any weight penalty it would be a good choice.
But With DJI and ZF hot on the main brands heels Itll be interesting 12 months for a full power...
soooo... cant say where or how, but got a Demo ride on the slash + ....
It will now not be a replacement for my super enduro & full power ebike.
The place/guy i got the chance said in his own words: "Theres a reason its only being made in 2 specs in low volume, TQ are working on lowering stock...
currently have a 2024 reign e+ & a Merida 160 FR(170/180) - love both, my reign, despite being 27kg doesnt feel like a 27kg bus, however my other bikes ive tried like the rail & ransom do feel lazy as helll.
Highly considering replacing them with the new e-slash+ for a Do-it-all, Its rated for a...
Fair, I currently ride my FF at 50nm At 200%(active) setup in my giant app, I get huge range from that setup compared to default setting and only lose maybe 10% power feeling, the difference comes in the steep climbs that you wouldnt do unless in turbo/boost anyway.
but my FF also weighs 28kg haha
I dunno, the AXS t-type 9.8 with full carbon incl wheels is currently less than 10k.
Wheels dont hugely bother me as I have a 350/511/fr541 wheelset I swap on - they've been excellent despite the heft of hybrid hubs and alpine spokes.
I think it's not bad at 12,999 with a small discount bringing...
im still debating if the slash+ makes sense at 12,999nzd retail, id never pay that and would look at a deal. The TQ motor is nearing the time of replacement so 13k is to much IMO
I get that, but it's not a rail.
Is this bike trying to be the one bike garage, you can take it to the local trails and then still fit in at a bike park?
Honestly, it looks like it COULD replace my full fat & park bike seeing as the slash is compatible with a 190mm fork
is this an attempt at creating a bike i could sell my park bike and full power Reign e+ for??
I only ever ride my Reign in the 3rd power mode anyway
Not sure if Logical to thrash this at a bike park haha
Think i've figured this out:
Galfer rotor had extra bits on the top of the rotor that was catching the caliper.( quick gentle sand has fixed that)
Shimano rt66 rotors were just flexing around hitting
Can now use the galfer no worries.
Yes im running the silver's.
Im not sure on max rotor size etc but the calipers are big and they have little tabs on bottom of pads that could interfere with the floating rotors?
I have maven's on my other Ebike, They are immense, nothing else compares.... I know that sounds rubbish but I've had A4's, Hope t4v4, saints, code rsc etc...
Nothing compares to the new mavens.... probably other than the trickstuff
The xt's I have rattle and rub(not using finned pads) with 220...
not sure what my issue is on my Reign E + 2 2024
at anything over approx 20km The front rotor resonates/vibrates & it rubs, When i turn it rubs.
There is heaps of room on each side of the disc and is pretty bang on true, rotor isnt near adapter etc
New Ebike build on a fox 38, parts:
dtswiss 350...

The club rides we do, the XC riders talk a bit of rubbish but we both banter as we both smash past the 170mm enduro bike riders who are the worst............... Ie the guys who ride chairlifts etc (basically a Pinkbike commenter) and they just climb at snails pace in the dinner plate gear...
hey,
Reviving this, Did you ever solve it? I've had knocking 36's in the past and fox just say 'nothing wrong' which is bullsh1t!!
The reason i found this is my new 38 on my Reign E+ is knocking and on the reign it radiates through the frame which makes it very loud(yes its the fork as put in...
