I just spray on the mucoff chain cleaner and leave it on for about 5 minutes, then most of the crap just hoses off. Anything that doesn’t rinse off, the GT85 gets.
Just get a cheap £10 bike stand to get the rear wheel off the ground, spray a load of GT85 on a rag, then lightly hold the chain with the soaked rag while turning the pedals. Don’t turn the motor on though!
I use this method after giving the bike a quick wash after each ride, then use the chain...
I was having speed sensor issues on my bike, so replaced the speed sensor, as they're not expensive. When the mechanic changed it, he said that the motor area was full of water/ mud/ sand/ sludge, which would be more likely to cause the issue. He cleaned it out, and I make sure that I clean it...
He sent the shock to be serviced, and put the bolts in the box with the shock, so that they wouldn’t get lost, ironically. When he received the shock back, the bolts were missing.
The only tip I would give is to take the motor cover off and give it a good clean out once a week or so, if riding in constantly wet/ boggy conditions, as mud and water doesn't drain out of that area very well.
I’ve got the DH22 tyres on mine, with tubeless conversion, all fitted by the shop before delivery, and the tyres are rock hard. I’ll need to drop some of the pressure before riding it.
I’ve got the 140, done about 2800 miles on it, and it’s a great do it all ebike. Fire tracks, bike parks, single track mtb runs, a bit of road riding and it takes it all in its stride.
I’m 5’10 and went with the medium, and would say it’s spot on. My wife is 5’7 and it fits her as well, so she...
I know you’re all on the edge of your seats waiting for an update, so after trying the sealskinz overshoe (even xxl was still too small), the sealskinz over sock (no good, as the pedals will mash up the fabric instantly), I’ve just received the GripGrab Ride Winter overshoes.
XXL fit over my...
I just switch mine off if I want more of a workout, keeping the cadence between 80-100. Calorie burn will be more than any mtb, due to the extra weight of an emtb. Then, when everything aches and the hills get bigger, turn it back on!
