Just about to buy a Macride for a Rail myself. How did you get on with the Macride? Was the 'wide' one big enough once you were using it with your child? Any frame rubbing or do you wish you'd gone extra wide? Thanks

It seemed to be the thing to do to go as dhort stem as possible a few years ago. With the slack geometry that the Rail has would this be a bad idea?

Has anyone put a much shorter stem on their Trek Rail. E.g. 35mm or less? How did it affect the handling?

Did you test ride both?

I am the same height and inside leg as you. XL definitely the right size? Did you have to shorten the stem? Also, with a 170 dropper like the one in the 9 how much post would be exposed under the dropper collar? I have a trailer I need to attach. Thanks.
