Apparently the EP801 still makes the clunking noise. The Decoy won't be silent. My Core 2 (EP8) makes me think I have a loose cable hitting the frame almost every time I ride it for the first 2 minutes till I get use to it and ignore the sound.
I'm using an Invisiframe gloss kit and my Decoy still looks like new. The unprotected parts of the frame are holding up well against scratches and chips as the paint is fairly thick from what I can tell. If you are even remotely concerned about resale value, get a protection kit.
To mullet a Decoy 29er, the head angle would slacken almost a degree. It would be close but not the same as a Decoy MX. Be aware the rear frames are different between the 29er and the MX and thus the aleady very low BB height on the 29er well be even lower. Expect lots of pedal strikes. Best to...
The motor will have three ports: 1 for the speed sensor, 1 for the display and 1 free port that you use for the derailleur. There are also 2 screw connectors for lights. Finally to the left side of all that, but not in this picture, is the big main power cable/on/off switch harness .
Yes there will be one free port on the motor for you to plug into. Please be aware that the RD-M8050-GS is a 11 speed derailleur and good up a max of a 46 tooth sprocket. Don't you have a 12 speed cassette?
Air flow and ventilation were critical for me so I got a Leatt Helmet MTB Enduro 3.0. It has 95% of the cooling factor as my Scott Fuga Plus half shell with the extra protection of a full face helment.
