My original frame had a fault with it Porosity in some of the welds. This is the frame replacement by Giant warranty. As this was the only colour they had. So I excepted it. I think it looks better than the original colour.

I the gaurd just clips over the frame. As for the strap, it's just for security if you need it.. My main reason is to keep the mud and water out the lower part of the battery. And of course some protection...its very light and strong and flexible...its very well made. Also they do carbon...
