    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

I am 5’ 11” with 31” leg but have a stiff knee that means I like the saddle slightly higher than “normal” - also have wide shoulders and long arms…..mine is Large. With saddle high it was a bit hard on my hands hence angled stem which has sorted it - distance from centre of BB to centre of...

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

Added raised bar (no higher than original but flat not angled grips), 90mm 45 degree angled stem, and Ergon MP3 grips, (have MP5’s on my Thorn Nomad tourer). That’s me done for now - not now an MTB but really loving it as tourer/cargo bike and fun for a fitness ride if the bumpy bits are too...

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

Sorted.....I had been trying to remove the larger headset cover not realising the small rubber cap in the middle.....FFS!! Grips changed, Bars changed from OEM "angled upwards" to "raised then flat" and angled stem.

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

Very basic questions....1. My grips are a bit lower than I would like relative to saddle (I need saddle slightly higher than normal due to stiff knee), maybe 5cm...can you fit spacers or would you go for riser bars / angled stem or a combination of the two? 2. Secondly how the hell do you get...

    Rockrider E-ST520

Centre of BB to centre of grips is 870mm so theoretically 4.5cm too long on the calc you linked to, but I’m not looking to do technical stuff and have long arms.

    Rockrider E-ST520

I’m 179cm and have the large, I like the position it gives me but also have wide shoulders and arms like an orangutan so I can see that more normally shaped people would probably be better suited by the Medium!

    Newbie advice needed please.

Shawry - I have only done about 200 miles on my EMTB, had a replacement knee after a couple of sporting "incidents / dislocations" 4 years ago and gave up roadbikes, have an analogue tourer and the new one is a £2k Decathlon E ST 900 (HT) which I have set up as road-trail commuter - changed...

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

Loving them, smooth and fast but great over the cracked and bumpy tarmac around here.

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

Very pleased with Rockrider E ST 900, have read around on here and used the advice. Wanted an “e-SUV” for up to maybe 20 miles local trips for shopping, pub runs.etc in a hilly area, have a Nomad (analogue) tourer for when I want to beast myself. Changed chainring to RaceFace 38t, added pannier...

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

Exactly the same today for me! Changed to 38t chainring, same issue but didn't need a soak but was very stiff. Also got tyres changed for £28.50 in total.

    Decathlon Rockrider E-ST900

I felt the metallic noise was in the motor not the brakes, changed the knobblies to Schwalbe Super Moto-X and it has gone completely, so obviously a resonance thing on tarmac....
