Same 504Wh charger works with the 630Wh and with one fin missing, the 504Wh battery still mounted as securely as before.
It looks like you could even epoxy the fin into the cavity on the 504 Wh battery if needed as well to make it fit the same as the bigger battery. I’m not sure why they...
The small piece of plastic cut from a yoghurt pot, then put through the chainstay hose exit hole to guide the hose out.
I will be selling these for only £49.99 plus postage.:D:D:D???
Wow, that was a mission. I dropped the motor but feeding the hose through was a pain. For future reference disconnect the caliper and feed it from above. I made a small plastic tool to go into the hose exit hole on the chain stay to guide the hose up to connect it. Just waiting for a bleed...
Had anyone swapped the rear brake on their e-Sommet? I have a set of Hope tech V4s and whilst the front brake is a straight forward swap the rear looks like it needs the hoses removing at a minimum.
Has anyone else done this and am I better off dropping the motor out as well? How easy is...
One of the things that appealed about the Steps external battery when I got my e Sommet was the removable battery. Having had a garage broken into in the past I like the fact that the battery and charger are away from the bike when stored, and any potential buyer of a stolen bike needs to find...
Agreed, one of the things which attracted me to the Shimano external battery was the chance that they would do a range of batteries with a common mount. The standard 504Wh, a large capacity battery and a lower capacity lightweight battery. Like WildGuy said, missed opportunity for people...
Well that was painless. E-mailed Wiggle, sent some pictures and a replacement XT cassette is on the way. Excellent support. They just need more bikes to sell now!
Just got back from a wet Grizedale. Still getting to grips with chucking the bike around but my god this bike is good. I’ve jumped seven years in bike tech soo was amazed by the performance of the suspension and tyres giving me incredible levels of grip, the motor performed really well...
Planning a shakedown at Gisburn, then really fancy the Lakes.
Currently working to get the tyres off to set up tubeless. These modern rims don’t make it easy!
I’ll be fitting the Time Atacs, saddle and grips from my five onto it. I figured that for £50 difference the brakes were worth a switch as I like the feel of the Hopes. Has anybody made a cover to keep mud out of the gap in front of the shock?
Loving this thread. I’ve just ordered mine. Looking at fitting Hope V4s as they were basically free to get the Wiggle Gold discount, and I’m planning to go Tubeless. Any other upgrades can wait until I’ve put a few miles in.
Hi all, just ordered a Vitus E-Sommet, replacing an Orange 5. Had some really good info on here, based in east Lancs and looking forward to hitting the lakes again.
