Review Shimano Linkglide 10 speed drivetrain.

I read that about his HG driver getting gouged, this could be the cassette ..but more likely not using a torque wrench to tighten the cass and it's been chattering when on and off load.

Hey I forgot to ask, how do you find the LG 10 speed, are you overall happy with it?

Im a trail rider, if you get to the top of some crazy climb, you know you won't be doing the same climb again the same day, as you said different requirements

Yes mines arthritis of the knees, I find higher cadences can trigger the knee ache, but I don't run around in Turbo, hell Trail feels like Mad Max turning on the nitro sometimes, I'm mostly in Eco to keep the leg strength up and the heart rate elevated.

I think it all depends on your preferred riding style, some people prefer a higher cadence with less effort, others lower cadence more effort (power) and others can do both, like the lycra boys, I can't spin for long as my knees are shagged.

Review Shimano Linkglide 10 speed drivetrain.

I'm on a EP8, live near the Peak District (so plenty of steep climbs) and I'm 60 in a few months. And I've never used the 50t, ever.

Review Shimano Linkglide 10 speed drivetrain.

Just ordered the 10 speed Linkglide with the XT 11 speed shifter: LG 400 cass 11-43 (as I realised I don't and won't ever need 50T) M5130 Deore derailleur M8130 XT shifter LG 500 chain. All in £160.. BUT those nice people at Nationwide Building Society are giving me a £100 for being a...

    Linkglide Question?

After thinking about it, I might just upgrade the shifter and derailleur to GX for less than half the price of Linkglide, my thinking being the SX or NX cassettes are cheap (around £50) half the price of a LG cassette (around a £100) and are steel anyway, and no faffing about.

    Linkglide Question?

Yeh, I put in my original post it's a HG driver as it's low end SX/NX SRAM.

    Linkglide Question?

Can anyone help, I was about to order the 11sp Shimano Linkglide XT groupset, as I've been waiting for my chain to stretch for the last few months so that I can bin the SRAM SX/NX mix on my Cannondale. As it's already on lower spec SRAM 12 speed I don't need to change the hub driver as it's...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Forgot to mention this little beauty, it's a Sistema stainless vacuum flask , one large cup or one small mug for us in the UK (280,ml). Bloody brilliant! I was sick of paying for overpriced coffees when out and about I mean £4 at some places, they're taking the pee! Anyway it's one large-ish cup...

    Michelin E-Wild 2.6 tyres.

How does that work when E rated tyres (at least here in the UK) are usually cheaper?

    Michelin E-Wild 2.6 tyres.

I'm running an E-Wild 2.6 on the rear (E-Mazza 2.4 front) both 29" and it's a pretty good combo for mixed road and trail riding (I ride to the local trails). The EWild does seem to wear a bit faster, but on the plus side it's fast rolling and gives a slight (and I mean slight) additional battery...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

If you have some open ended grips (or an old pair and cut the ends off) you can play around and find your preferred width BEFORE cutting the bars down. I used a hacksaw and a wrap of masking tape to give the saw blade a guide to cut up to, but you may be talle or longer in arm than me and 800...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

I've cut mine down to 750mm, 800mm is to wide for me. The extra sweep and rise has definitely taken a lot of the weight off my wrists and feels like it's quickened up the steering (might be my imagination but the bike feels more responsive..less effort if you like).

What did you buy your ebike this week?

An SDG Bel Air saddle and a PNW Reach h/bars (10 degree back sweep 30mm rise) with about 20mm more back sweep and 15mm higher than the standard bars). So much more comfortable for me and on offer (the PNW bars that is) at PNW UK for £36. The SDG Bel Air is just the basic steel rail saddle...
