  • We would be very grateful if you could help us, because we use the bike and take our daughter to kindergarten with it every day.
    Thanks!

    Suggestion:
We think that for some reason the BMS has disconnected the battery and we can't start it back.
    Question:
Is it possible to send you the battery to check the software or possibly reinstall it?
    What I did:
3.0. I disassembled the battery, measured the voltage of all the cells. And found that all cells were working. The voltage is 36 volts with each cell having between 3.4 and 3.6 volts. I took the battery to a friend. He works for a Bulgarian microsatellite manufacturing company and is a circuit board professional. He measured everything and found, no problem with the circuit board. All fuses work.

Between 3.4 and 3.6 there's a big difference, the BMS will lock only based on that. Each cell banks must be within 20-30mV from each other on a healthy pack. If you have 200mV difference OCV, most likely in load you'll have more accentuated on lower charge level. Also, your charging circuit seems faulty, because of the external short you created.

    Second problem:
2.1 After that it would turn on the bike. It didn't respond. No light or indicator are working. The battery is totally dead.
    First problem:
2.0 I plugged in the charger and it would not charge. I put it back on the bike and did a test via the app. The battery gave an error with one of the cells, but wrote out that it might cause a lower mileage. Again, everything worked except the charging. I left the battery disconnected and removed from the bike for a few hours.
    How it happened:
    1. Out of jealousy while removing the battery I mistook the lock for the charging port. When I put the key in the port there was a small spark. After that the bike worked normally. No problems. The battery ran low and I decided to charge it.
Hi, my name is Gabriel. I'm writing to you regarding my wife's bike. The bike is a 2019 Specialized turbo como 4.0. I decided to reach out to you because from what I have read on the forum, you are the only one who can help us. The problem is with the battery on the bike - SBC B10 504 Wh 36V
Hello! Today I had a problem with my turbo levo. When I connect the charger, the third light (on the battery) starts blinking green. Please tell me how to solve this problem? I would contact you for repairs, but I am from Ukraine... I also have a good friend who assembles various electric bicycles like sur-ron, maybe he can help me, but he needs to understand what needs to be done. I am ready to pay for your help!

    Hello,

First check the voltage levels on each bank there shouldn't be a deviation greater than 20-30mV between each cell bank. You can check for obvious faults like mosfets, SFC fuse, NTC thermistors. If all checks out most likely the BMS is locked. Only way for me to unlock it is to have physical access to the battery.
Hello, I’d like to meet you and discuss your expertise for battery repair. Could you contact me at cleverlifehacks2023 at gmail?
I have a 2021 Turbo Levo SL. My app gave me this warning, "The battery pack has detected a cell imbalance."

    1: 4.02 V - 0.000
    2: 8.02 V - 4.002 V
    3: 12.03 V - 4.01 V
    4: 16.04 V - 4.01 V
    5: 20.06 V - 4.02 V
    6: 24.07 V - 4.01 V
    7: 27.93 V - 3.86 V (red arrow in pic)
    8: 31.95 V - 4.02 V
    9: 35.96 V - 4.01 V
    10: 39.98 V - 4.02 V
    11: 44.00 V - 4.02 V
    12: 48,02 V - 4.02 V

What is the best way to balance the cell?

If you have an active balancer, you can use it, of course.

But make sure the BMS is off, when doing balance /single bank charging). Usually, it will enter deep standby in 1-2h after the system is turned off.

Hi can you give me some advice the battery on my turbo levo gen1 no longer gives voltage, it turns on, the BT module works and connects to the Blevo app. The sfk-4030A fuse was blown, I replaced it 2 times and it seemed to work but after 2 hours the battery no longer turns on. If I remove the fuse and the battery turns on, the BT works. Thanks

Hi. I have two specialist m1 batteries with a blocked bms (3 red diodes). What is the estimated cost and time to unblock the error? I have a courier who will bring and collect the batteries at my expense.
    Best regards
    Hello,
Can you help to unlock Specialized Como (2018) battery, which was locked due to not charging for a longer time ?
Hi, I have read your post about specialized battery repairs. I have a 700Wh Gen2 Levo/Kenevo baterry which shows 3rd green light after connecting the charger. No reaction from bike when plugged in. There are some 3rd party company warranty sticklers suggesting it may have been repaired previously. Would you consider attempting to repair it for me? I could send it to you directly. Thanks!
    Hello,

First of all, I am from Romania and we can also connect if you want. I have an M1 battery from a 2018 Specialized Turbo Levo Ebike that shows red lights instead of green when turned on. The battery health is at 89%, and the voltage is below 40V. Can you replace the cells with new ones or upgrade them to increase the battery capacity from 480Wh?

    Thank you
I’d pay to have help troubleshooting my Gen 3 battery w the 3rd blinking light of death issue. Thanks

    Hello,

I can help you with your issue. How did the fault appeared? All of a sudden? Did you use water jet to clean your bike? That's most common fault on gen2/3 levo batteries. Usually the cells are good because it's relatively a new model and Specialized uses high quality cells on their batteries. Of course, there are cases when water ingress will also damage cells, but usually the electronics fail first.
