Hi all, yesterday I got my brand new levo 2024, find it very bouncy on the rear shock even when dialling the shock all the way in both directions? Are they very bouncy any way as Im used to locking out rear on firm ground When pedalling hard.

I still don't know what Bike you have, there are 2 alloy levos and none of them has a Air Bomber (marzocchi).
But Just Go there:
Not to sure it’s a turbo Levo 3 with Marzocchi rear shock as standard and Marzocchi Z2 forks as standard

The air pressure for the shock is mainly set by SAG.....SAG being how much the shock compresses just under the weight of the bike plus you in your riding gear. A good SAG setting to start with is 30% of total shock travel. So if your shock has 55mm travel your SAG point would be 18mm. If your shock has an o ring on the shaft you are good to start. If there is no O ring use a zip tie or similar. Position the o ring/zip tie up against the air can seal. If your shock has adjustable rebound and/or compression settings.....set to fully open/ fast.

Set SAG by either sitting on the saddle or standing on the pedals in the ready position....whichever is the more used riding position for your rides.. Either have someone hold the bike while you do that or position the bike close to a wall. Get off the bike gently and measure how far the oring/zip tie has moved. If it is more than 50mm you need to increase air pressure. Repeat until you get 18mm.
Now set rebound and compression if available as external controls on your shock.

...So if your shock has 150mm travel your SAG point would be 50mm. ..
150mm travel is at the rear wheel, the shock only has 55mm stroke.
So yes, setting the sag at about 1/3 (18mm) is a good point to start.
For Air pressure use the Link above to the Specialized Suspension calculator.

They changed a few Things at the 2024 Levos, didn't know the base Levo got a marzocchi...

Cheers Mikerb, done the above this morning SAG was around 20mm ish with the dial turned fully right (closed) turned dial fully left around 12 clicks of the wheel on the bomber shock and very little difference In the measurement when measuring SAG again.
i think I need to go out off road and play with it, it’s probably a new bike thing as my previous carbon 26’ had a full lock out with no bounce so a combo of much larger bike and geometry set up May be at play.
But thanks all for your great feedback back and help will post in a couple of months time after a couple hundred miles on the bike.
