I think it's time for me to check this wire also. Been riding a second hand 2020 Rail 9.7...and on the last ride, the power would cut out and return after 5 or 10 seconds. *I did a magnet position mod that positioned the magnet closer to the sensor and things worked nicely for the most part...

Been mountain biking for a few decades now.. Just bought a 2020 Rail 9.7 from a riding buddy. Also ride gravel, road, and have mountain bikes (two 29'r+ hardtails) I'm still learning that faster cadence is better!
