Has anyone narrowed down what the reason is for all the bad noises and bearings?
Is it inexact tolerances on axles or whatever? Cos some motors make bearing creak straight out of the box while others take 5000kms
I have an external battery on my e8000 bike.
The motor keeps cutting in and out on climbs in trail and boost. I am guessing it is bad cells in the battery preventing it from sending full voltage to motor.?.
Has anyone had success in accessing BMS voltage info?
Has anyone succeeded in...
I wish it was something other than the axle bearings creaking but it isn't.
Honestly, it doesn't bother me that I need to replace the bearings as much as the irritation at hearing it with every hard pedal stroke.
It is definitely not loose mounting bolts or loose cranks or loose whatever else.
It is the familiar sound of crappy e8000 bearings creaking. The last motor had the same annoying creak with every pedal stroke.
I bought a new motor and used stunlocker to program it. The motor fw is 4.3.4 but i don't like the power delivery. Can I update the firmware to one of my choosing using shimano's etube or will it update to the latest that isn't fully supported by stunlocker?
I've read so much stuff about grease that my head is spinning. I have some Bosch bdu classic grease on hand. Will I damage my unit using this stuff in my e8000? I did scrounge a bit of the existing white grease but not much and some of it is black and unusable.
Hi, massive thanks to the contributors to this thread! Without it I definitely would not have been confident it was possible to pull that circuit board around the axle to be able to remove the axle.
Ages ago I heavily clipped my left pedal an went otb. It was so hard that it bent the crank and...
Can I just quickly confirm that the idiotic bolt that holds the spider on the drive side comes off turning right ie. reverse thread. Just to be clearer I'm talking about the one that needs the fc39 (or whatever it is) to get it on/off
Cheers
