    Re your CO trip; did you not take some trails because of no ebikes? I'm new to emtb (72 and single tracker 25+ yrs ago) so I'm of the opinion I'll ride anywhere bikes are allowed and deal with consequences. A lot of ebike forums say "cops" don't really care and most don't know the difference anyway.

    I won't "poach" non-ebike trails. I don't want to give the "No Ebikes" folks any ammo for keeping ebikes off trails by letting them have "Look, they can't even follow the rules" when they talk to the powers that be like the USFS. I took both my Eeb to ride the paved trails that Were Eeb friendly, and my pedal bike to ride bike parks while out there. I got plenty of riding in on both!
