Look at the bottom of page 5. With your bike (I also have a Chaser) you should have received a Mavic bag of spokes and valve spares).
I’m very surprised Biketart and/or Chicken didn’t know this!
They’re offset on my deemax’s too, it’s not an uncommon design feature, my Shimano XT wheelet are also offset.
My e-deemax’s came with the correct offset spacer that sits on top of rim before you screw down the threaded nut you see in your first picture.
I’m sure the Mavic website details this.
After I started another thread on my “mullet musings” this is the bike I’ve settled on. I would actually prefer the base model Trek Rail+ but I can’t get past the insane value of this bike and the lighter weight for getting it in and out of the car, whilst away with work, is another bonus. Plus...
I did see that video, but the Mondraker is not a mullet and you can’t remove the battery, which are my two must haves.
I actually have the previous gen Crafty and I think it’s brilliant!
Sooooooooooo, the basic £5k aluminium Rail+ or the far better spec'd Cube One77 Stereo Hybrid One77 HPC SLX 800 with carbon mainframe and superior components at £4.5k.
Both could be sourced fairly locally and I don't think the geometry is wildly different either. Couple of kg's less would be...
Thank god I’m not alone!!
I’ve just seen this and for spec/price I can almost get past the headset cable tourism shite:

I’m thinking base Levo Turbo at £3800 in S4 or a Trek Rail+ 5 at £5000.
Levo has loads better spec if I need to shift kit, but I would need to upgrade the rear shock. I have a decent shock that drops straight into Rail+.
I’m contemplating a new e-bike. I have a couple of must haves, specifically a mullet and a removable battery.
I want a mullet because I prefer them and the steep, technical stuff I love is better, for me, on a mullet because of my shortish legs and tyre buzz.
Ideally I want a removable battery...
I built a mullet 27.5 rear wheel, fitted a Works Component slackerizer headset and 170mm Fox 38 with Grip2 damper. Already had 145mm cranks so no pedal strikes.
It’s a lot of fun on the descents.
