They need to hook it up to the Giant dongle and read the report it generates on the PC.
Until then, they are playing the guessing/ wishing game while your riding with a unreliable bike.
Giant knows of this issue, the shop needs to put pressure on Giant for a solution.

I have a '23 Yamaha motor that needed replacing at 11 months/ 400 mi. Also 2 buddies with Brose motors, one with a '23 motor that was replaced at 6mo, the other with a '22 motor replaced at 23 months.
2 other buddies ride shimano motors with no issues.
Also, Yamaha and the new bosch motors...
I'm in Texas, our regional Giant representative hinted that it was a seldom occurring known issue. From the time the bike shop hooked my bike up to the computer and read the information they immediately acknowledge the motor was bad and one week later I picked up my bike with a new motor...
How old is the bike? Is it still under warranty?
If the motor is bad and it's under warranty it needs to be replaced by giant.
If it's due to you riding in the smallest gear uphill with maximum power it still should be replaced under warranty and they should advise you to change your habits...

Less than 30 mins into a ride this past Tuesday my bike cut out and would NOT reset after powering off. I attempted to power it off and on at least 15 times, 3-4 times it would clear until I put any pressure on the pedals and then go into r2 fault.
The other times as soon as it powered on it...
