I'm pretty sure the BMS is built in and should balance the cells itself. If not maybe there is a problem with it. I posted some pics of the battery in another thread that shows the BMS and wiring.
Alot of that comes down to bike and rider. As a big guy I cannot make a X2 work on a progressive suspension bike. I can only get small air can shocks to give me the support needed on those bikes.
Frameworks specs their enduro acoustic bikes with float x's. If its good enough for Neko and...
I really want to try the Dorado Comp and eventually get the Avalanche damper with hydraulic bottom out. They are supposed to be butter and the added weight doesn't bother an ebike that much.

The crazy thing about Maxxis is if he flips the wheel over its probably lined up. I've been super careful to get the valve PERFECTLY in the middle of the Maxxis logo and be so proud. Mount the wheel on the bike, push it in the garage to stare at it only to see its off! The stupid logos are...
Welcome! I'm just over the mountains in NC! I also have a house full of cyclist (wife, daughter, and 2 sons) and we have shifted our focus to more downhill these last few years. My daughter was training for the DHSE season this year but broke her collar bone so she is out for half of the...
My Maxxis tires do that after they get a little age on them sometimes. I just throw 2 ounces of sealant in them every 4-6 months and roll with it. Never had a problem.
I built a vertical bike rack also! I wanted to make it work with an electric actuator to raise and lower remotely but never could get that worked out. Wound up giving up on the idea. This rack has went 1000's of miles and been trouble free. It was an interesting and stressful project. I...
Another one to look at if you like the bosch and aluminum bikes is the Marin Rift Zone EL. I'm very interested in the bike but there's not much out there other than the typical media reviews.
I wouldn't think this bike will get more power. They just came out with the Slast+ with the exact same motor. So doubtfull any updated one will have more power. We might see the 580wh battery option from the Slash+, but maybe not. I would like the option for it though.
Between my family and friends we have several dozen Baofeng radios (mostly uv-5r and uv-82). I have one of the newer programing cables and haven't had an issue programming them with CHIRP and windows. I prefer the individual programming software over CHIRP but have used both.
I have zero...
To shorten the free throw and prevent this I like to use a small, flat head screwdriver inserted between the pad and piston. I will pull the pad toward the rotor while pumping the lever to advance the pistons. This will shorten up the free throw and make the the lever movement much less.
