  • Hello,

I am a new owner of Orbea Rise 2023.
Your post about the torque/watt/rpm relationship interests me a lot to best configure my assistance levels. I understand that the max torque can only be reached if the watts are sufficient, and that beyond a certain cadence, the motor will not need more energy according to the Torque/Watts setting ?

So, please don´t write "Torque/Watts setting", because torque is a physical name and Watts is the physical unit of power.
Don´t mix this, otherwise this will create misunderstandings.

So, your motor gives power (not energy) at a specific moment and this power is measured in W (Watts).
And if your max. peak power is programmed to a value that will not allow to go up to your programmed max. torque at a specific cadence, then you will never reach that max. torque at that specific cadence, because the programmed peak power value is limiting your drive unit (motor).

So, there are always 2 limiting factors for your drive unit: max. peak power and max. torque and one of them is the one which is reached first and then the other one cannot be reached. See again my previous posts regarding to this.
And please don´t write personal messages here, because it is not my destiny to be a free of charge indiviual helper. ;)
    I hope you understand.
