Lockdown How far is too far

As i'm recently back on furlough i've been trying to get the miles in without doing any reckless. But this has resulted in needing to cover more distance to get the same level of exercise staying mostly on cycle paths/roads. As i am almost always by myself i don't see any good reason to limit myself to a 5 mile radius. It can be done but doing the same route over and over really takes the fun out of exercise. I'm one of those who really struggles at the gym and one of the reasons i get out on the bike.

As an experiment i did use a portion of a local trail that loops around in both directions to see if either direction was quicker. But not being target driven i couldn't do this consistently without getting bored.

No matter the guidance i will be making sure to get a good hour or two exercise a day as my mental health can't really handle being confined to the house, especially in the winter hours. If we had another lockdown challenge i'd be able to smash the target.
