I'm in need of some help from the experts on here.
Today I changed the chain an the 3 smallest sprockets of my cassette. When i took the chain off i noticed the front sprocket had some things(i have no clue whats the name in english) on the outside of the wide theeth.

Can i file those away? Or do i need a new sprocket? Its 10 month old with 3500-4000km

The 20t sprocket is crazy expensive at 95€ and i do not want to replace it for that cost.
In the past ive had other 20-21t sprockets from kmc but had so much troubles with the chain jumping off at the front untill i went with a narrow wide sprocket.

You gotta index the chain properly. The link with the wider opening for a tooth goes on those wider teeth, and the narrower link opening/pocket goes over the narrow teeth. It alternates narrow-wide-narrow-wide-etc.

I won’t hurt to file off the burrs ( sharp edges ) the sprocket is worn. See how it goes coz you’ve nothing to loose it doesn’t owe you anything.
bloody expensive these Ebikes ?
