I'm shifting 26 pallet artic loads from Stevenage to Motherwell for £950 right now. Ring round.
Nobody near me to be honest , halfords nearest forget them . The 840 was a guy driving to me picking up tomorrow and delivering bike soon as . I can feel a jaunt down South . As i said insurance is the issue going to cost £ 500 for a return delivery. Could chance it for £ 60 without insurance one way .I mean £840 is a rip off. I can't really point you in the right direction as this stuff isn't my area of the business but I can help you not to go in the wrong one.
If it were me, I'd be asking the LBS's who they use. maybe piggyback one of their courier accounts for a few quid on top for the favour.
Cheapest option is megabus or take camper and make a trip of it . Nobody does anything on the cheap now but do you blame them. The only other thing I can think of is a friendly local haulier who might take it on to a courier somewhere for onward delivery & if you're in Buckie, the only one I can think of anywhere near you who I know to be good is Jim Killoh in Fraserburgh, which isn't exactly round the corner.
Wouldn't get battery on flight or i wouldBe cheaper to get a return flight and a stay in Surrey
