If it’s Buckie on the coast north of Aberdeen then £240 doesn’t seem too expensive, try palletways

And avoid the pallet networks if you can. They're not the right service, likely not interested in a one off job anyway right now & the way they work means your bike will be handled by forklifts at least six times times by delivery. I do this for a living & wouldn't touch them with a bargepole for anything valuable & prone to damage.

I mean £840 is a rip off. I can't really point you in the right direction as this stuff isn't my area of the business but I can help you not to go in the wrong one.

If it were me, I'd be asking the LBS's who they use. maybe piggyback one of their courier accounts for a few quid on top for the favour.

Nobody near me to be honest , halfords nearest forget them . The 840 was a guy driving to me picking up tomorrow and delivering bike soon as . I can feel a jaunt down South . As i said insurance is the issue going to cost £ 500 for a return delivery. Could chance it for £ 60 without insurance one way .

The only other thing I can think of is a friendly local haulier who might take it on to a courier somewhere for onward delivery & if you're in Buckie, the only one I can think of anywhere near you who I know to be good is Jim Killoh in Fraserburgh, which isn't exactly round the corner.

Cheapest option is megabus or take camper and make a trip of it . Nobody does anything on the cheap now but do you blame them.

For shipping a fully stripped and boxed bike, I recommend services like BikeFlights, ParcelHero, or ShipMyBike, as they specialize in bike shipping and offer good insurance options. If you're looking for general courier services, DHL Express, UPS, and FedEx can also handle large packages like bikes with reliable delivery options.

That's a 2021 post . Battery is the problem in UK still is. Saying that someone delivers Ebikes to shops so ????. None of the couriers you mentioned do Ebikes with battery.
