Back in April, Canyon launched their new Spectral:ON. But only the more expensive CFR-models were available. Now Canyon is releasing the cheaper CF version of the 2022 Spectral:ON, a 150 mm travel mullet bike.
The CF model has a cheaper carbon frame at a slightly higher weight. The battery options are the same, and it’s the same Shimano EP8 motor. The big 900 Wh battery is only available for sizes M and up. The bikes should be available for order as of now, but the first batch comes in limited numbers.
Check out or article from april for more details about what’s new on the 2022 Spectral:ON. We also made a video for the April launch.
Canyon Spectral:ON CF7
As we’ve come to expect from Canyon, even the entry level model is well specc’ed. The Rockshox Lyric Select is a fine fork at this price point. So is the Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain and Deore brakes. If you go with the 720 Wh battery, bike weight is 23.7 kg and the price is €5.199 / £4.749. For another €300 / £250, you get the 900 Wh battery.
Canyon Spectral:ON CF8
Next in line is the CF8 with a fine Fox Rhythm 36 fork. This model too gets the Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain, but the brakes are bumped up to Shimano SLX. If you go with the 720 Wh battery, bike weight is 24.3 kg and the price is €5.999 / £5.499. For another €300 / £250, you get the 900 Wh battery.
Canyon Spectral:ON CF9
The top-of-the-line Spectral:ON CF gets the Fox 36 Performance Elite fork. We think this is a great and fairly lightweight fork. The Float X shock is possibly even better. Canyon has opted for the Sram GX AXS wireless shifting. The Code RS brakes are Sram too. The 720 Wh version is 22.9 kg and comes in at €6.999 / £6.399. Another €300 / £250 and you get the 900 Wh battery.
