Merida E-ONESIXTY 900 Review

A trail bomber

Check the video review on the Merida E-ONESIXTY 900. This bike is a couple of year old but still offers a fantastic ride. Get the full details in the YouTube edit.

  1. Great review Rob.

Just as a point of interest, these Merida’s were priced significantly cheaper than their competition here in Australia even before the runout sales.

I just heard that. Seems the 900 is around £2950 (UK is £5200!!) which is incredible if true?

  3. What’s up with the frame? At the front there seems to be a weld missing. Upper en lower tube are welded togetheron all the bikes I have seen.

  4. That’s because it’s an XL. Up to the medium they’re together, which, I think looks better.

Here you go @Rob Hancill. Pricing for the 900 in Oz.

As Gordon has posted RRP is $6699 in AUD. we have a 10% sales tax, so that’s $6,090 without tax.

In GBP, this would be equivalent of 3,280 before 20% VAT, and 3,936 including VAT.

Interestingly, the YT decoy is about $2000 cheaper in the UK than Australia. You win some, you lose some. Regional pricing sucks.

  6. The low Merida prices people talk of in Australia, makes me wonder why they even consider any other bike 🙂
What does a new Fox 36 grip2 fork cost down there? And a new Float X2 shock? Add the HX1501 wheels, and you are allready close to that 2900 price , in european part prices..
Or is it just the older lower spec meridas that are cheap, and not like the 900E ?

  7.
Then you are extremly lucky! I bet those bikes even get looked abit down on in australia, just because they are so cheap there.
People in general often do that :)
About every second eBike I see is a Merida. Most of the others are Giants. There’s a few Levos and a few Norcos but Merida is the bike of choice here.

Personally I think it’s crazy for Merida to sell at such a high price in other places.

  8. My Merida OneSixty900 is incredible!
    Go anywhere trail eating machine!
Comes outa the box with all the top spec parts.
What more could a man ask for .

  9. Rob, I picked the 900E up in Australia for $6000, converting that to British pounds thats 3,378!

You are right, the looks are something only a mother could love, but the value for money and specced componentry is next level.

I could buy 2x meridas for the price of the new YT decoy.
