The Focus Thron2 always was a full suspension emtb made for riding safely in comfort. And these characteristics are even more important for 2022. Check out Rob’s beautiful video of his experience with the new Focus Thron2. Or keep reading for the specs and prices.
Trails, touring or transport
The bike is now approved for 150 kg system weight, this includes the weight of the bike. It’s approved for pulling a trailer too. The Thron2 is prepared for fitting fenders, rack, kickstand and lights. The EQP model comes with all this kit installed from the factory.
750 Wh Bosch Smart System
The new Thron2 frame is updated to fit the new, big 750 Wh battery. Since this battery is so long, it will only fit sizes Medium and up. Size Small will keep the old frame with the 625 Wh battery and no Bosch Smart System. The Smart System includes a lot of tech and connectivity. The motor can be locked using the Bosch-app, so the bike can’t be used if stolen. The Smart System will also support GPS-tracking.
Full suspension 29er
Thron2 is still a 29er bike. All models, except for the EQP, comes with wide 2.6″ tyres. Suspension travel is 130 mm at both ends. So the Thron2 should be up for trail riding too.
