Alex Boyce has been working as a sports journalist, photographer and video maker for the last 15 years. Working across a range of sports including a stint as a photographer for MotoGP Suzuki, he found himself in the world of MTB journalism.
After chatting to Rob at a few events, discussing some personal projects, Rob and Alex agreed to collaborate in someway and his content for EMTB forums will be stuff that generally sits outside of the walled garden of the industry.
Alex says,
“I really liked Rob and what he had achieved with his EMTBforums, his energy is great, plus he understood where I am coming from. I like to find out what makes things tick in various worlds and share that knowledge. It is not always easy to do that in a bike test, so I asked Rob if he would give me some space to do some personal projects, Rob said, “Of course!” and here we are.”
Alex speaks a few languages, so if you delve in a bit deeper you will find some content in English, Italian and German.
“I’ve been really lucky to learn all these languages and the worlds that rotate around them, it’s given me a tremendous insite into how international the sport of MTB is and how interesting and dedicated people are in different countries to this sport. Also it means I’m able to pass across boundaries and relate things to different people. This is thanks to the EU and all its projects… ;-P.”
