We’re seeing so many new bikes this fall! That’s of course because of the new Bosch Performance CX motor. After Bosch launched their new motor, several brands have waited in line to present their latest creations. The 2025 Focus Jam2 is one such bike. Watch the Rob rides a Focus emtb video for all the sweet images and presumably some music.
The new Powertube 600 is about 600 g lighter than the old Powertube 625. And the Powertube 800 too is about 5-600 g lighter than the old Powertube 750. In addition, the Bosch CX motor is about 100 g lighter, adding up to a weight savings of almost ¾ of a kilo.
I’m not going to call the alloy Jam2 a lightweight bike. The range topping Jam2 6.0 has a claimed weight of 24.3 kg. And that’s not bad for a full power, alloy emtb with a 600 Wh battery.
For €5.999, you get the Jam2 6.8 with proven suspension and a fine mechanical Sram GX drivetrain. If you want the best equipped bike, Focus is asking €7.999 for the Jam2 6.0
What’s new?
Well, it’s the motor. I’m not going into details here, as it’s all been written in the article about the Bosch Performance CX. In combination with this great motor comes new batteries and Focus offers both the 600 and 800 Wh versions.

Focus Jam2 geometry
It goes without saying, but the frame geo is new too. Judging by the numbers, the Jam2 isn’t a hardcore, enduro inspired descender. It seems more like a capable and confidence inspiring all mountain bike. I’m basing that assumption on the 65* head angle, 450 mm chainstays and 1.268 mm wheelbase (size L). The head angle is slack, but nothing extreme. A nice number for a 160 mm front, 150 rear travel emtb.

Focus Jam2 spec levels
The Jam2 is only available with an alloy frame, which is good news for all of us that prefer a lower price tag. The entry Jam2 6.7 starts at €4.999 with the 600 Wh battery. It sports a brand new Rockshox Psylo Silver RC. At least it’s not the cheapest of the Psylos, so it might just be a decent fork. For €5.999, you get the Jam2 6.8 with proven suspension and a fine mechanical Sram GX drivetrain. If you want the best equipped bike, Focus is asking €7.999 for the Jam2 6.0

My take
It’s refreshing to see new bikes introduced with price tags no where near the 10k mark! With the new Bosch system, we might very well be moving away from the 26-27 kg emtbs. The new Focus Jam2 seems well thought out and sensible, and even the cheaper models appear to be specc’ed for proper trail riding. Am I allowed to say the new Focus Jam2 reminds me bit of the gen 1 Levo? Regardless, I like the thick, square-ish top tube and clean lines of the frame.
