Problem is that when you really need the walk mode, bosch push button does not work.
Two situations:
On very rough rocky and loamy ground, after fording rivers and needing to climb short cliffs where I needed to watch each step carefully, keeping the finger placed on top of a sensitive push...
With chains removed, the cranks on an E8000 will move almost freely, while on bosch CX there is a very noticeable drag, although the cut off of the shimano feels more abrupt than the bosch. But this difference in drag should not justify the other rider flying past you, so it looks like his bike...

Having spare batteries is a must if you want to work out AND have fun on an emtb, (or a fast charger 😄).
Using only one, its hard to get more than 1:30 hours riding. I miss the long 4+ hours I used to do with the naughtybikes.
I would not trust an epump as my backup trail tool. Would rather carry a bunch of co2 and have a small handpump as my ladt call. The electric pumps I have tried would only be good to be kept at the car park so I can have one or two beers while it inflates a 2.6 tyre to 34 psi 😴
I know that trackbuilders of the incoming Araxa UCI XCO WC race had the best intention when they put these vampire killer sticks on the track…
I just get a little bit scared of the consequences.
They are creating ebike categories to run together with XCO style races over here.
Last november, I made a mistake and had my battery end before the last 4 kilometers, wich happened to be a 20% 3km climb where I had to walk uphill for half an hour, triggering a knee pain plus a golfer's elbow...

I ride a spectralon 150mm mixed wheel and cube 170mm 27,5 f/r and believe that both could satisfy you.
I keep switching front foot on the down hills so that when I hit a bump on a bend to either side its more natural to get some air and land safely.
But, as a right hander, I often offer my left side in sacrifice whenever I hit the deck, so my left knee, ankle and elbow carry more scars and...
On the "up" list, bosch kiox is very easy to pair with any third party heart monitor, much easier than a garmin device.
On the "down", though, its a very long list of things that bosch fails to provide, on a very personal note, for example, their apps are NOT even available on many countries, so...
First thing I thought of... look at those wires hanging from the wall behind the bikes, probably a damaged power cord that was being used there and short circuited. Besides, lots of flammables disposed all over the place. A very predictable disaster scene.
Measuring battery charge with the accuracy you desire is not possible, shimano gives a clue when they decide to use the five bar indication instead of a percentage. To know if a battery is not working properly it should be tested by dedicated precision workbench by a dealer.
