You’d need the cassette for the system. It’s designed around standard distances and tolerances.
I bought mine in pieces because you don’t need new crankset or chainring for it. The chain is actually compatible with Shimano chainrings [emoji2369]
I’d do this:
Shift to cog 6 (21t)
Loosen axle 1 turn
Loosen derailleur bolt 1 turn
Put cage lock at first position. The one that doesn’t make derailleur look straight.
Pull back on lower jockey to take slack out of chain.
Hold it back while tightening the derailleur bolt
Tighten axle
I have a Torque On.
Initially when I installed it, in smallest cog, the chain would rub on the frame. Then I looked back at install steps. The step just before I tensioned the chain and tightened the mount bolt, I forgot to set it into the 1st stop on the cage lock. Once I loosened it and...
What chain size did you use for it? I installed it this morning using the info from the AXS application for 34T chainring. The app gave me A-gap setup, 118 link chain and 21T chainring as setup ring. Everything shifts well, but it contacts the frame on the smallest cog. Wondering if you're...
I went from a Pole Evolink in Large a couple years ago (490mm reach) to the Medium. I’m 6’ 33in inseam. Fit feels great and I’ve absorbs anything I can throw at it.
Well, part of why I ordered the bike was the listed spec on the sheet they posted. It was a very good deal.
I’m not a fan of center lock as it limits my options…but the halter purple pads have made the XT 4-pot brakes more easily modulated.
I’m gonna call them tomorrow, as I am not going to...
Yeah, I'm still waiting on them to reply to my request for why my bike didn't come with a charger to wall cord, why my wheelset was an HFR1700 instead of the HFR1500 in the listing, and why it was centerlock Shimano rotors instead of the Hayes 6 bolt it was quoted. I also cannot seem to register...
Damn man! When the battery is empty!?!?
I’ve gone 15+ miles on the Torque without using more than 30% (though I leave it in Eco). I can’t imagine riding enough to use it up 🤣🤣🤣
I’m probably the opposite of what most people do with bikes, but I’ll throw in my 2 cents.
Coming from an S-Works Ebduro (170/170) that I found plenty fun and capable riding and racing XC down in flat south Florida, I opted for the Torque On CF9. Partially due to the fact that I kinda like the...
Slightly annoying that right after I buy my Torque On, they upgrade it to the newer drive unit.
Still love my new rig, as it’s absolutely amazing, but I would have loved to have gotten the newer unit with the 12 speed Di2 compatibility.
I hear ya man. I was super bummed that the di2 didn’t work. That said the archer thing is amazing (I have the older one that still uses external batteries but am in line to beta their one that they’re working on).
The EP800 may be “older”, but it’s an amazing unit with a ton of power and they’ve...
It’s very close but with Fox Factory stuff instead of RS (which I’d rather have Fox anyway).
Unfortunately for integrated with battery, you’ll be with a different bike or manufacturer as Shimano Di2 12 speed doesn’t work with the EP800. Only EP801. I learned that the hard way having bought the...
Well, I was the one who got the last available CF9. In the end, it was spaced way too good for me to pass up. Literally the only thing that came close was the YT Decoy, but it was a grand more for similar spec.
My thought is this. If suspension is your biggest concern, the CF8 is a great buy, as...
I’m in the central Adirondack region of NY. It’s a mix of small rocks and gravel, roots and choppy rock gardens, and flat smooth groomed dirt.
The suspension did a great job of keeping the bike tracked well while keeping my hands from feeling like I’d been operating a jackhammer.
I still have...
First ride today on my new Torque On. Absolutely amazing bike. I’m a bit of an oddball, so I’m sure this bike as an all around do-all isn’t something most would consider.
However, I’m also a guy who believes that it may not always be what they may have intended the bike to do so much as how it...
